“devastated”, “humiliated”, “defamed”, “dethroned”…
I can’t find a correct word to describe what the team had been through. It have been the worst result for united above their decent league achievement. The Champions League Final at Rome where it should be a theater of dreams turns into horrifying nightmare.
Oh, you should be questioned why I bother writing about other teams rather than my favourite one. Well, it seems that the fans of the defamed teams needs a relief from what they had been through. So, here’s are some reasons why you should just forget Manchester United and start to “get a life“. Think deeper and realize why you should bother supporting that brat of the devils.
1. You just want to follow the majority. This is the most annoying reasons why you should be a fan. Yes, your friends are all a fans of united, even your girlfriend/boyfriend loves them. But hey, screw them. Start making your own decision. What? You lives according to others’ decision? I bet you are those who ask your mom to find a girlfriend.
2. United fans look cool. It depends. If they are a fan too, yes you could look cool. But if they are into other teams, chances are they will likely hate you. Every other teams’ supporters have a hatred over the devils no matter which teams are. That’s why others who supporting other teams give their support to Barcelona that night.
3. Ronaldo is awesome. I bet you never heard names like Xavi Hernandes, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Aguero or even Lionel Andres Messi before the match. You just had been blinded by the glittering faces of Ronaldo, Beckham, Cantona and George Best. Or maybe you are proud of Ji-Sung Park, the only asian in United’s Eleven. Manchester United had been so much a commercial tool. It’s just another marketing trick, don’t you get it?
4. They are the best club in the world. Just because they have brilliant manager, huge sponsorships and talented players don’t make them the best team in the world. That final has revealed the truths. Barcelona don’t have a corporate logo in front of it’s jersey. Rather, it’s a logo of a non-profit organization, The United Nation Children’s Fund (UNICEF) which have their donation from the team (1.5 Million Euro). They don’t even need a superstar signing. 7 of their eleven is homegrown (youth teams). Even their manager, Pep Guardiola is from the same club.
5. I don’t know why I’m a United fan. Good. Now, make some research more about your team. Don’t just blindly support them. Remember that there are more teams in the world to be a fan than just those wearing red jersey. If you never kicked a ball before, try one. You will like it.
Last but not least, here’s a collection of memorable victory from the Olympic Stadium of Rome. Enjoy the second goal from Messi, it’s a masterpiece.
1st Goal – Samuel Eto’o, 10′
2nd Goal – Lionel Messi, 70′

Yet another frustrated MU fan. This one already committed to MU more that CR7 is willing to. Amazing.
